Desperate to get out of your credit card debts?
24 June 2008
With rising costs, credit card debts are increasingly easy to fall into. Australians are using their credit cards to pay for everyday items such as petrol, clothes, groceries and bills. The problem with using credit cards to do this is that it makes it easier to get into credit card debts - and harder to get out of debt.
Here are a few ideas on getting out of credit card debts:
Stop spending on your credit cards. Spend within your means until your credit card debts are paid off. If you create a budget and stick to it, you may find that you'll have more savings when your credit card debts are paid off.
Consolidate your credit card debts onto a credit card that offers a low balance transfer rate. Balance transfer cards are a great way to help you pay off your credit card debts.
Pay more than the minimum payments on your credit cards. If you only pay the minimum, you may incur more interest and it will take longer to pay off your credit card debts.
